ABOUT MATIBO'S SALON

Matibo's Salon, "Where
color is what we do best," had
a grand opening party on Oct. 29, 2005. In August of 2005,
Matthew Deschenes, and his partner, Ibo Yilmaz, purchased
the salon from Matthew’s father, Peter Deschenes, and
renamed it Matibo's, which is a combination of their
first names.
Matthew Deschenes has
been a hairstylist since 1983 and worked with
his father at Baron Hair Design until June 2000 when he
moved
to Florida for 5 years. For five and a half years,
Matthew worked as a
hair stylist in South Florida, both in Boca Raton and Fort
Lauderdale, gaining what he calls "tremendous experience" as
both colorist and stylist, learning the latest techniques
and styles.
Corrective color and impeccable foils are Matthew's
specialty.
Ibo Yilmaz, originally from
Turkey, has lived in California and Florida, and was previously
in the travel business.
Yilmaz says he feels very welcome in his new hometown of
Hudson. Also on Matibo's staff are Kathy,
Matthew's sister, who has been working at the salon as
a stylist since 1992.
Peter and Kathy are also very experienced
in hair replacement services.
And, we want you to know about
new additions to our staff!
Christine is hairstylist,
but also does facials. She recently finished Redken
Specialist program.
Jennifer is a hairstylist
as well as a seasoned massage therapist with four
years of experience.
Alisha is a nail technician, especially
good in pampering her clients with her spa pedicures.
We always keep ourselves updated with continuing education.
Matthew and Ibo attended The International Redken Symposium
in Las Vegas in January 2007 as well as the local Redken
Show in Nashua in April 2007. |
